What’s become a cultural identifier to our way and our decision to go with what is quick and convenient,  is actually a warning sign in light of a looming problem. As Japanese based designers, we draw attention to an important issue, demonstrating that the value of a design is not only in its function or aesthetic, but also in its environmental impact. We observe ‘mottainai’ 勿体無い loosely translated as ‘what a waste!’ .bungkus bags must instigate change and impact.  Acting to not just extend the timeline but eventually to come to a complete halt. To ensue that our bags too do not end up being another overdue waste , we are taking them back and re-creating smaller goods and bigger ideas.
